Three character party, should I put a fourth in?

Hi,

 

I currently have finished the third adventure, and just got my role specialization, for:

- Merisiel: an acrobat

- Seoni: a celestial sorcerer

- Kyra: an exorcist.

 

I am using the free game, and I have unlocked those adventures and the third character with in game gold.

 

Do you think I should stay like that, or should I add a fourth character to the adventure? And if so, which one? Which one will go well with those three characters?

 

Of course then I'll have to redo all the previous adventures with my team (or the character alone), to be able to unlock card, power, and role.

You could add one melee monster if you like. Valeros or Amiri.

But those three can go on their selves too.

 

If you continue with three them Kyra is your Main melee character too and you should put some skill points to her strength too.

Just my opinion.....

 

The alt form of Kyra (Sunwrought Kyra) is the most improved (alt) character in the game.  Improve her strength and give her Dawnflower's Favor and she (combined with Seelah) can escort any other player through all the scenarios except one.  I would save my coin for those two.

 

There is one scenario with 8 pillars to close regardless of how many characters you play.  I find it incredibly difficult with only two in the party.  

 

A bonus is that those two can quickly complete Daily challenges for more coin.

 

My favorite (maxed out) 3rd character is Lini.  Put these three in a party together and there is very little that you can't handle.

I'd say there's no need to add a fourth, but if you wanted to I'd go for a high strength melee character.

 

My personal recommendation would be:

1. Seelah

2. Amiri

or

3. Valeros

in that order.

I also saw you have in the store for 6k gold a character add-on pack with Amiri, Lini, Seelah and Sajan. With other cards. Dunno if this is a good bet. Will have to calc how much cost those four characters without the pack.

 

The improved kyra cost 6k gold too. Funny they say this include the base kyra, when the base kyra is included in the free game.

And unsure if I should spare to buy this improved kyra with my three party

 

Sometimes I think I miss some high intelligence member, hard to close intelligence base location sometimes...

If you are tossing up between Characters or Adventures, buy the Adventures first. More content = More fun )

More characters on same content, gives variety but not as much fun

Also more adventures means more character advancement Like power feats, card feats, skill feats, and so on, so more powerful characters...

btw any idea what is a good way to farm gold, with those three characters? Or easier to make a party of one or two in a given scenario?

I completely agree with this. More adventures will also get you some gold back (100/scenario completion on normal, 150/scenario completion on heroic).

I think it works out to be a saving. It is the first thing I bought after buying all of the adventures.

• Seelah has an awesome scouting power, probably making her the most powerful of the characters,
• Amiri is a metaphorical beast in combat who should rarely fail a combat check,
• Lini is an actual beast in combat (which is sadly less useful) and gets to add 1d4 to just about everything, which makes her great at closing locations,
• Sajan is, in my opinion, the most challenging and interesting character to play because he forces you to carefully consider the best use for your blessings each turn and how much resource to commit to each combat.

I personally wouldn't bother with the character alts at first because of their relatively high cost, especially ones for whom you already have the base character.

Playing a scenario that you know you can beat consistently on Legendary difficulty with as many characters in your party as possible. You get the gold reward for beating a scenario on legendary every time you clear it, unlike normal and heroic where you only get the reward the first time.

 

If you haven't cleared the adventures you own on heroic yet then I'd recommend doing so first.

I have cleared the first two adventures on legendary, I miss three legendary with the third one, and didn't do the fourth one in legendary yet.

I was about to buy Seelah, but as there is a pack with Seelah and other characters, that would be weird to buy Seelah alone.

And 6k gold is a bit too much for now. Or maybe I could buy 6k gold with real money to thank the devs to make this game ^^

 

Why you say with as much characters as possible? Why is it better to farm gold? I mean, the more characters, the more explores you have to do, right?

You get more gold with bigger parties, but I personally like more smaller parties.

Oh ok. I get 200 gold on finishing a scenario on legendary with a three character party.

I wondered how good would it be to farm the "local hero" adventure with only Seoni, as she is the best to acquire allies

Just bought Lem.

As Lem is not in the promotional character deck I'll buy later.

And as Lem is required for today's challenge, means Lem had a discount of 150 gold ^^
