Sir Real Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 Just to be sure; there isn't any normal way to swap cards out of your character deck for others that don't currently belong to any of the characters in your party, is there? I had to banish a Holy Light out of Lini's deck in order to close a location and win a scenario. (In retrospect, I probably should have just lost the game...) Now I'm stuck down one of my best combat spells, and having replaced it with Raise Dead or some such trash. I suppose I could play a game where I deliberately banish the Raise Dead and carefully don't acquire any other spells; I'm just wondering if there's an easier way that I've never noticed. If there isn't, anyone have any suggestions for the best adventure to run with a location to banish spells in?
Ripe Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 Nope... deliberately banishing crap spell and making sure you don't pick any other spell during scenario is the only way. As for best adventure to banish a spell... I'd say any with "Banish a card" requirement to close a location.

The other tip is, if you're just playing to "game the system" don't simultaneously "play to win." You still get to the deck repair screen after a forfeit.
Borissimo Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 The best scenario for banishing cards is 6.1 (Cabin in the Snow). Its henchmen force you to banish a card when you encounter them. If you're not that far along, try 1.2 (Local Heroes), which features several easy "banish a card to close" locations. And yeah, to echo Ethics Gradient, it's really neither hard nor time-consuming to tweak your deck like this. Play the scenario until you banish the card(s) you don't want, then forfeit.

I'm not sure game would allow you to pick up Holy Light following Local Heroes, regardless of your progress.... I think you need at least something from AD3 or later for that.
Sir Real Posted January 24, 2017 Author Posted January 24, 2017 Nope; not hard at all. I just would've felt silly doing it if it turned out there was an option for managing decks somewhere.
ylvglo Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 Holy Light is a B spell so you can easily get it after banishing a spell in local heroes. PFID-141DBD51FD7F535C
Ripe Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 Holy Light is a B spell so you can easily get it after banishing a spell in local heroes. I know it's a B spell but it's not a Basic spell... and you can only select basic cards to replenish your deck after completing Local Heroes. Or any other B, AD1 or AD2 scenario for that matter. Maybe that is changed if you started playing AD3 scenarios but it shouldn't be changed considering you still completed only AD1 scenario.
ferrisvalyn Posted February 27, 2017 Posted February 27, 2017 I would say the best place to do restocking is either 3-3 (Here Comes the Flood) or 6-4 (Assault on the Pinnacle). I use the former to go after low level stuff (Like whenever Sajan burns his potion of healing, and needs it replaced) by using Black Maag and Village House, and 6-4 If its a super high level that I need to go digging for.
