Kgk4569 Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 (edited) We all probably have various card suggestions we'd like to see, so I wanted to start a thread where people can put theirs. Below is the format I am using: Killer's Cloak Item Magic - Clothing Reveal this card when playing a weapon or armor, you may use it as though you have proficiency. Bury this card to recharge a weapon or armor when it would otherwise be discarded. REASON: I think it would be useful, especially for low level characters, to be able to use some of the weapons and armor they otherwise would not be able to. Cloak of Insight Item Magic - Clothing Display this card next to a character. While displayed, that character gains the Arcane or Divine skills, you may use the base attribute die for that check rather than a d4. At the end of the turn roll 1d6, on a 1 or 2 recharge this card; otherwise discard it. REASON: I think it would be interesting for spell casters to cross-class, or non spell casters to be able to use spells or magic items effectively. Though this is not without risk, the character could draw a hand that is useless without this. Mimic Spell Magic - Divine - Arcane - Mental - Elite Discard this card to use one power from another character, will all of the enhancements to that power the character has applied, as though it was your own. After playing this card, if you do not have the Arcane or Divine skills, banish it; otherwise you may succeed at a Arcane or Divine 15 check to recharge this card instead of discarding it. REASON: I think it would make for an interesting thing to do. Sort of like the show Sense 8. May be useful to borrow hand size at the end of a turn, a proficiency, Kyra's Healing ability, or Sajan's blessings ability (ooooh yeah...). Blessing of the Fates Blessing Divine - Fate Discard this card to add 1 die to any check. Discard this card to shuffle 1d4-1 random cards from your discard pile into your deck. After you play this card, if the top card of the blessings discard pile has the Fate trait, recharge this card instead of discarding it. If you would discard this card, roll a d4, on a 1 or 2 shuffle this card into another character's deck. REASON: Hot Potato healing. Edited June 13, 2016 by Kgk4569
Hannibal_PJV Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 Blessing of fate has to be banish blessing for the healing power or it would be op compared to healing potion. It still would be Many times better than healing potion... Maybe: blessing of fate Discard this card to add 1 die... Banish this card to suffle d3 random cards From you discard pile... Then it would be Little worse in healing that healing potion, but more vertisile, because it would Also be able to use as a blessing. Even then it would be much better than healing potion, but not so op any more... Game balancing is a tricky task. You first card is actually ok. The second should Also be bury or it would be too good... Mimic is hard... What power it would actually copy, because Many powers have different power versions of them. Very hard card to balance... Also just because there is Seoni, this would newer get banished, so it seems to be op... Maybe so that you could borrow a skill? Melee: str +1, acrobaticts: dexterity +3 and so on. Then it would not be overload powerfull, but still be very usefull because you could use skill that you don't normally have. Though it still may be op in Group of 6, but Group of 6 is normally a Little bit harder so this could actually balance out... 1
Hannibal_PJV Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 Armor of XXXXXX Armor Magic Discard this card to do YYYY... REASON: Because of Valeros Armor Master... A set of Armours at different levels an suitable power for the level. Example level 1: discard this armour to add 1 to strength test Level 4: discard this armour to add 5 to the wisdom check or something similar. Ofcourse the normal recharge to reduce combat. Banish to reduce ... Powers like in normal armour, just don't use too powerfull powers in the discard part. So that these would not be too good...
Kgk4569 Posted June 13, 2016 Author Posted June 13, 2016 (edited) I changed the healing and the second cloak. I reworded the Mimic. If another character is Lini and she has Animal Trick +3, then you can use Animal Trick +3. Or you could use Weapon Proficiency, or Hand Size (End of turn, so you don't have to discard a pat hand). Kgk4569 Posted June 14, 2016 Author Posted June 14, 2016 Armor of XXXXXXArmorMagic Discard this card to do YYYY... Armor of blissful agony Armor Magic - Heavy Armor Discard this card to reduce damage dealt to you to 0. Then shuffle 1d4 cards from your discard pile into your deck, and bury the remaining cards. If you are proficient with Heavy Armors you may choose not to bury 1d4 random cards.
Kgk4569 Posted June 14, 2016 Author Posted June 14, 2016 (edited) Savior's Plate Armor Magic - Heavy Armor - Plate - Divine Discard this card to reduce all damage dealt to you by 3 Discard this card when another player would take damage. Damage dealt to them is reduced to 0, you take 1/2 the damage rounded up. Draw up to your maximum hand size. Banish this card to reduce all damage dealt to you to 0. If you are proficient with heavy armor you may bury it instead. Edited June 14, 2016 by Kgk4569
Kgk4569 Posted June 14, 2016 Author Posted June 14, 2016 Improvised Shield Armor Light Armor Discard this card to search the location deck for the first item, weapon, ally, or armor. Succeed at a check to acquire at 1/2 the value rounded up. Reduce damage dealt to you by the amount you beat the check. Banish the boon used.
Kgk4569 Posted June 29, 2016 Author Posted June 29, 2016 (edited) Mimic (Bane) Monster Combat/Melee 15 Succeed at a difficulty 10 Perception Check or a difficulty 12 Dexterity check. If defeated draw 1d4+1 treasures. If undefeated bury the top 1d4 cards of your deck. REASON: Mimic is such an iconic monster, and with the treasure chests being a part of the app (and much easier to make a pool of these cards) it just makes sense! Edited June 29, 2016 by Kgk4569
Nathan Davis Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 By the way, I'm talking with folks internally about hosting a card creation contest where you could get your card built and in the game. 2
