As reported in this beta thread, the weapon War Razor +1 will cause the encounter check to get a +4 difficulty if the character is not proficient with weapons.  This does not seem right as the text of the card does not indicate such a penalty.

Longbow +1 reads: "If not proficient with weapons, you may discard this card to add 1d4+1 to a combat check at another location."

I suspect this power was meant for the proficient. It seems to function for the proficient.

Longbow +1 reads: "If not proficient with weapons"

Shoot, that reminds me that I saw another weapon which stated "If proficient with weapons, add 4 to the difficulty of the test".  Unfortunately, I didn't write down which weapon it was so I'll have to watch out for it.

Pretty much every sword, bow, warhammer, and non-spear polearm does, that I recall.

Edit:  Sorry.  Misread.  There are two weapons that say that.  One is a mistake (Longbow +1, maybe?) and one is not (Horsechopper +1).

"I need a lie-down" is the new "I'll be in my bunk..."

I just want to confirm this bug.
