The animation for the invocation Thrice Was She Wronged, and Thrice Justly Avenged, plays out of the right side of Kana's head rather than the front side (presumably where his mouth would be).
As you can see from the floating numbers above the oozes in the screen shot, the damage is being applied against the correct targets, but the light show is way off. Cosmetic, yes, but can't be unseen
