Well, it still doesnt have very good defenses but I very much underestimated the Wall of Flame fire trail, which seems to strike everyone close to it.

 

I sent it to distract the kraken while I fought the tentacles in the corner and suddenly the kraken is just gone and this is what I see in the combat log:

 

So there's only level 7 druid spell left as lackluster now

Nothing.

But I meant that there is AT LEAST 1 good spell for each level now.

Except 7th.

Tornado theoretically has high damage output since it can potentially hit multiple times in smaller areas. Its travel speed is pretty terrible compared to the other similar spells like Crackling Bolt or Rolling Flame. Also the majority of late game battles take place in much more open areas.
