September 2, 201510 yr Version of the game : 2.0 Wall of flame count the full enemy DR for each of its tick (which make it quite a weak spell as you do basically 2 damage per tick). As far as i know it used to count as a dot and therefore only count 1/4 of the enemy DR. Is this change intentional? (see the screeshot where wall of flame hits Penhelm and the DR of Penhelm that is retracted : 10.2)
September 2, 201510 yr Hello Agone, Those numbers look correct to me. Could you please upload a save file and an output log via dropbox so I can take a closer look? You can find the files I require in the link below located in my signature. Thanks a bunch! Obsidian Discord || Grounded Discord
September 3, 201510 yr Author So wall of flame non longer count as a damage over time effect? That's a pretty big nerf considering the very low (6-10) damage per tick. the save is here: http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=00318132007922638179 output log is here: http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=83452297026888762054 It is not really a bug though, it only depend on if the spell is a dot or not.
September 3, 201510 yr the spell is still fine, cast it under casters and with interrupting blows, they will probably never cast anything.
September 3, 201510 yr Hello Agone, Yes, the spell is a dot. It has a duration and during that duration it deals damage periodically. Considering the spell lasts 30 seconds, the damage adds up. Thanks a bunch. Obsidian Discord || Grounded Discord
September 24, 201510 yr Does this mean all DoT spells come up against full DR rather than 1/4 DR, which I recall was the case in earlier versions of the game? I notice that my Chill Fog, Ray of Fire and Corrosive Siphon now rolls against full DR for damage. Just wanted to clear this up definitely.
September 24, 201510 yr There are 2 kind of DoT : Area DoT that affects a zone and roll against full DR. And "debuff" DoT that are applied to a character even when he/she moves like all other status. These ones are applied against 25% DR.
