are notes on maps planned for v1.05?

agris

Question

I don't think placing notes on the in-game area maps needs an introduction. Is this feature planned for the upcoming 1.05 patch, or any patch the the future? It would help players keep track of quest-giving NPCs, NPCs on maps and be a general quality of life improvement for the entire game. It sounds petty, but opening an in-game map and instantly seeing where you've marked NPC locations is much more intuitive than going to the journal and sorting/reading notes.

Well it's a bit late now, after everything has already been spoiled, but if there's a function like this, which really should've been there on release, I hope that it'll also feature the option to turn off pre-existing map-markers in the options.

Knowing the name of things before you even go there is ridiculous, as is having a big marker saying "Aloth here!" the second you enter Gilded Vale.

Agreed with this - markers for places and people should only appear once they've been visited/spoken to (probably by having area/person scripts adding markers to the map when triggered). The current situation is like BG2 where you can enter Waukeen's Promenade and have a marker for Cernd's home, before you even know who Cernd is...
