I am very curious did anyone attempt to absorb the watcher? What was the special item it resulted in?

 

I haven't done it, but in another thread, people reported that absorbing Maerwald allowed the player access to a room that you can't get into in any other way.  They said the room had some gloves and a sword in it.

It is pretty good, but sadly of no use to my party.
