That is the number of how many people are playing in game right now on steam.  Pillars of Eternity is the ninth most active game being played.  I know developers/publishers don't like to disclose sales information but Pillars of eternity must be doing phenomenally well. I hope their success only encourages more developers to create game similar type games but I doubt they could ever come close to matching Obsidian's masterpiece.

Let's hope those people stick around for the critical patches we'll hopefully get next week - It's all about first impressions. Nothing says "eff this game" like getting stuck in the keep or losing your racials and such.

 

(Not everyone has the patience to look up workarounds - Of course having the helpful threads removed by moderators doesn't help the case either )

Its almost beating ARMA III and all of its multiplayer modes....

 

I hope they pump out expansions every few months for the next couple of years...

Very nice It's a lengthy & ,imo, addictive game so I wouldn't be surprised if this number goes higher, as current players continue their playthroughs, & new players hopefully hop aboard.
