Question

Posted

When running higher resolutions than 1080p, the interface seems to be scaled. This makes the UI elements, particularly the font, fairly blurry.

On my 1920x1200 monitor I've had to bump down my resolution to 1080p to get crisp fonts. Is it possible to disable the scaling of the UI so it runs at it's default size even when using higher resolutions?

Yeah, sorry. I didn't know there was a regression issue for text rendering. I was just so happy to get into the game and finally find crisp text that I rushed into this old thread to gush about it.

Hope it gets fixed soon!

To be honest, this wack-a-mole behavior makes me afraid the problem is difficult to fix. And also for the developers involved.

I can confirm that I had no UI blurriness issues until 2.0 and now I have some blurry font and map art. Which is a shame because the game's art is so gorgeous otherwise! Interestingly the font on the character sheet is fine.

Today 2.01 got released. It (somehwat) fixes the blurry font on my 1440p screen, however not before I actually started the game, the initial menus remain blurry.

Now that I see the UI for the first time how's it's meant to be, I still think the font rendering of their engine is awful. Maybe The font itself is not ideal.

^ it was already working like that in 2.0 for me.
