If you add on an extra key, what sku of the game will it be?

Featured Replies

I was looking at picking up an additional copy or two as gifts using the pledge manager.  I backed at the collectors edition box.  Does this mean the extra keys I buy will also be the royal edition sku?

Any key you get from Obsidian will be for the normal version of the game (aka the "Hero" version).  You then download your extra's from Obsidian's portal.  If you are giving a key to someone you will have to download all your extras and send them the files somehow if you want them to also have those.

Thanks.  They'll be happy with the Hero version :)  I was just curious if they would also get things like pre order bonuses or kickstarter items.

What about pre-order in-game items and special backer item? Will they get them too?

Karkarov's information if outdated - your primary key will be mapped to a Hero, Champion or Royal edition on Steam or GOG. (See this thread by Brandon Adler.)

I haven't seen any info if that included the extra keys, though - those could very well be Hero edition only.

That said, all keys generated on the portal should include both the Pre-Order and Kickstarter tems.
