what are you guys doing now and for the next year or so?

Lois: Honey, what do you say we uh...christen these new sheets, huh?

Peter: Why Lois Griffin, you naughty girl.

Lois: Hehehe...that's me.

Peter: You dirty hustler.

Lois: Hehehehe...

Peter: You filthy, stinky prostitute.

Lois: Aha, ok I get it...

Peter: You foul, venereal disease carrying, street walking whore.

Lois: Alright, that's enough!

And who says that they have to stick to that releasedate? :)

Because that is when they think it will be done at this time. Until then their release date will be accepted as holy writ, then they will delay it and everyone will moan and complain.

Such is the way of game boards everywhere.

Not funny.

But unfortunately totally true. <_<

I have every confidence that the release date will be met.

yeah, i'm an optimist.

Here's hoping they don't delay it too much... :(

I'm a bit of a newb to RPG-scene, but when Obsidian was known as Black Isle, did they meet their dead-lines?

For the most part yes.

They'll meet the release date. Whether or not they push back the release date, though.... :(

They could push the release date forward. ;)

Funny that.

I don't remember a single game going out on time from BIS. The only games I know for sure about though are PS:T which was delayed some six months from the original estimation and IWD2 that was also delayed quite a bit (though that was to work in a new ruleset and stuff like that).

So in my experience, timeliness was never a BIS-trait. Making good games, however, was.

;)

No they didn't. BIS games were delayed many times. Many, many times. See IWD2 which was DELAYED months as just ONE example.

DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.

I'm fairly certain even the original IWD was delayed. If Sith Lords is delayed it will probably be for a good reason. I rather have a better game later than a buggy game sooner. :)

In that case, I won't have any complaints at all. :)

Has a game ever come out on time? :)
