Unplayable due to crashes

So my game crashes a lot. It crashes everytime I try to transition to a new area. And it crashes sometimes during character generation when I select certain options.

 

I have no clue why this is. Only thing I have done so far is update my videocard drivers that where really outdated.

 

My system:

AMD athlon II X4 620 processor 2.6 Ghz

4 GB ram

windows 7 32 bit

ATI Radeon 5670HD

harddisk: ST31000528AS SATA disk device

To me it would appear that you're out of memory.

I had the same problem with Win 7 32-bit.

This actualy fixed it! Also its running a lot faster/smoother now in general.

Sorry, but no. Pillars of Eternity process use 1,7 GB of RAM, I've got 5 GB more free and 64-bit OS. Looks like DirectX error. And I'm getting crash regularly.
