how to embed videos in forum

Posting them is fine but I've never gotten them to work if I want the videos to start at any point other than the beginning

 

Admittedly, I haven't really bothered after it didn't work right away

I don't think they will work embedded with a time stamp. But if you hyperlink them and add the minute and second mark in the link it will start at the desired time.

Add (#t=**m**s) at the end of the link, the stars are where you put the numbers.

they will embed unless of course they have a start time. i want both to embed and to start at a specific time.

I don't know what code this forum uses to embed as it does it automatically, but the code you can get of youtube doesn't work. So your best bet is to ask the mods.

I tried time stamping them too. Doesn't work.

 

What DOES work is posting the video, telling people what time to skip to, and trusting them not to be total selfwits.

in reality that was the actual point of this thread. i wanted a place to play with the coding on the forum and didn't want to just start playing around anywhere because then it'd look weird. my first post was in reality just a whole bunch of different codes and stuff before i editted them out.
