Drakxii Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 I always loved the many great mod made for NWN and NWN2. If we raise enough money for PE could we get something like that? 1
Umberlin Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Well, I can't deny that I'd love a construction set for players to make their own campaigns, and a good DM toolset that allow a player to easily DM said campaigns. I don't know how reasonable a thing it is to ask though, even as a stretch goal. No lack of a want for such a thing though, at least on my end. More toward NWN1 style than NWN2 style though. "Step away! She has brought truth and you condemn it? The arrogance! You will not harm her, you will not harm her ever again!"
KhaineGB Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 I'd love something like this as a stretch goal. I think it'll most likely end up being a "post release" thing though.
malivion Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Reading post such as "how long will the game be", etc., made me think about how perfect this could be for a game like this. I personally know almost nothing about modding or programming, but I have had so many games that got prolonged life because of the modding community (at times the mods were better than the actual game). The only problem I see with a CK for this game, is that it seems like Obsidian wants to make the story last over multiple games, and carry characters through them. I think part of the reason that mods work so well in games like TES is because characters are totally disconnected from one game to the next, and I wonder how Obsidian would feel about mods affecting successive games in the series.
Chaz Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 I still play NWN up to this date, the ability to create a campaign to play with your friends is huge!
Nivenus Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 I'd support this goal, although I don't know how realistic it is. Presumably they'd have to get permission from the license holders of the engine, whoever and whatever that is. "Understanding is a three-edged blade." "Vivis sperandum: Where there is life, there is hope."
