Karranthain
Looks like Unity it is. Personally I was hoping for Onyx, but oh well. As long they can make the game they want it shouldn't matter that much. Though maybe Onyx as a stretch goal? Would be a shame for that engine to go to waste. I'd also imagine working on it would speed things up considerably. Edited September 19, 2012 by Karranthain
LordCrash
How about the RED Engine now they're working together with CD Projekt (gog.com)? I would like to see the engine in an isometric game if possible. According to CD Projekt it's "the ideal tool for making RPGs"...and for sure the best looking! I mean you can still have dreams, don't you?..... :D
Shevek
One of the selling points of the Unity engine is the asset store. The painted backdrops largely removes that as a benefit. Who knows, they might go with something else.
Sylvius the Mad
The Infinity Engine is owned by Electronic Arts. EA doesn't appear to know that, though. I contacted them about licensing the Aurora engine, and they wouldn't talk to me. God used to be my co-pilot, but then we crashed in the Andes and I had to eat him.
