Pop Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Cool deal! I imagine this one will be more somber and serious than PAX East back in Alpha Protocol day (no apple juice ) but I really wish I could see it. The AP one was recorded by... SEGA, I think. Hopefully someone gets on this as well. Join me, and we shall make Production Beards a reality!
Rostere Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 This sounds very interesting! "Well, overkill is my middle name. And my last name. And all of my other names as well!"

WorstUsernameEver Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Uh, has Chris ever dealt with gender/minority issues with his titles? Don't get me wrong, I have the utmost respect for him and think he's one hell of a writer and designer, but I don't really know if I'd have invited him to the panel had I been organizing that. Then again, I don't really know if I would have wanted to organize something like that considering the gaming community's attitude at large towards these issues..
Sannom Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Uh, has Chris ever dealt with gender/minority issues with his titles? Not that I know of. As for your concerns, we will have to trust Chris himself wouldn't have agreed to it if he didn't have anything sensible to say about the topic. Part of the reason I'm interested in it is exactly because neither Chris nor Obsidian have a history with those topics, so I'm curious to hear what he will say in that panel.

funcroc Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 https://twitter.com/...365987779022848 Our PAX East panel just keeps getting better and better. Psyched to announce that @DavidGaider will also be part of Plot vs. Play!
cernex Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 If anything, I just hope the Obsidian crew get us some good pictures of Weekes (from the Bioware panel) being booed off the stage, xD That thing is going to be intense, I tell you. The backlash is going to be HUGE if they don't announce something that meets their fanbase's demands and expectations. Mass Effect 3: "Life sucks, then you die." Alpha Protocol: "Life sucks, then you change that."

Weekes, his opinions and impact on the games he has worked on, than you are. You're a cheery wee bugger, Nep. Have I ever said that? Reapercussions

The backlash is going to be HUGE if they don't announce something that meets their fanbase's demands and expectations. I hope they are more up to date regarding mr. Weekes, his opinions and impact on the games he has worked on, than you are. Oh, don't get me wrong, I know that Weekes is a nice fellow and was (allegedly) one of the first ones to stand up and say the ending wasn't all that good, not to mention it wasn't done or worked on as the rest of the game was. Plus, I've heard he wrote some of the best bits of the game. To explain myself: he's gonna get booed off stage after what they announce isn't what the fans want them to announce. There's a reason why neither Mac or Hudson are going. Want to guess why? Everybody knows they're sending Weekes because he IS one of the most liked -if not the most- they have on their whole staff. Mass Effect 3: "Life sucks, then you die." Alpha Protocol: "Life sucks, then you change that."
Nepenthe Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Oh, I'm perfectly aware that is their rationale. I'm just hoping he'll be given what he deserves (ie. shouts of "you work for ****!"). That said, they're still sending Evil Chris Priestly there. ;P 1 You're a cheery wee bugger, Nep. Have I ever said that? Reapercussions
cernex Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Ok, with the recent BioWare news we got, now I'm pretty sure Weekes nor Priestly are getting booed off stage. It's just going to be one hell of a silent panel. Mass Effect 3: "Life sucks, then you die." Alpha Protocol: "Life sucks, then you change that."
