July 5, 201114 yr Does anyone know of a way to listen to the music tracks outside of the game? Listen to my home-made recordings (some original songs, some not): http://www.youtube.c...low=grid&view=0
July 5, 201114 yr Pidesco asked similarly about a week ago. http://forums.obsidian.net/index.php?showtopic=58127 No word in that thread about any separate official release. Not a criticism of the thread, just saying you're not alone. Sadly, I'm usually not very sensitive to music except in rare situations, so I missed the hubub. I'll have to pay more attention next playthrough. "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater."
July 5, 201114 yr 1. Download the .oaf extractor - http://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=6743 2. All the dialogue/music files are in there, but oddly, while they're named .oggs, they don't seem to actually be .oggs. 3. Wait for LadyCrimson to post here, because apparently she got these to work. Let's Play: Icewind Dale Ironman (Complete) Let's Play: Icewind Dale II Ironman (Complete) Let's Play: Divinity II (Complete) Let's Play: Baldur's Gate Trilogy Ironman - BG1 (Complete) Let's Play: Baldur's Gate Trilogy Ironman - BG2 (In Progress)
July 6, 201114 yr Author I really liked the soundtrack overall. Perhaps mostly because it *is* fairly low-key most of the time and doesn't take over too much. I don't like bombastic themes too much unless they are done extremely well (Morrowind theme comes to mind). I also felt it had a good mix of sort of more standard, fantasy orchestra music as well as more "ethnic" influences here and there. October 3, 201114 yr I can help. Over the summer I arranged the .mp3 files into a formal soundtrack, complete with a nice cover. Email me with proof that you have the game, and I'll send you a link. doublehex168 at gmail dot com.
