This game is missing instructions - (Youtube video inside)

I'm new to Dungeon Siege but I understood everything in the game, it explains it all quite well. Except I still don't know what any of the stats do besides attack and armor. No idea what doom, will, agility or basically any other stat does.

 

A common issue; there is a rather in-depth explanation of possible item stats in the help menu (Found by pressing escape) although someone made a topic for this as well;

I agree with tx3000, this game seriously lack documentation. I've NEVER played a game that didn't have some basic instructions. I figured out most of stuff by myself, but I didn't know about the keys until I saw the Steampowered pdf. I still don't know how to equip my abilities. I have one equiped so I keep spamming that. I just gave up and picked up a trainer.

 

so you read the manual provided with every game and it helped alot imagine that!

seriusly though i do think the information on witch keyboard to press could be alot clearer but they are changing that in a patch, as there was alot of text and some peoples just like to press ok without reading anything on those tuturials it need some kind of ingame place where all keystrokes is for a quick reivew. not just the tuturial and help topics, with that said it could be a lot worse also. and with the patch (if it works as it should ) will sort out most of my issues

 

Uh... Equip your abilities? What exactly do you mean by that; getting new abilities (Which you get via leveling up)?

i think he mean the abilitys that come as with the weapons (vampire, lightning and so on)

Doom adds damage...how much it is in relation to what you do is not explained.

 

Fire, Lightning, Poison, etc. all also add damage. How much 10 Fire does in relation to the damage when you hit isn't really revealed, as it seems to be different than actual 10 damage, but not certain on that, it's never explained.

 

Most useful, Vampire, draws enemy life to you...

 

That's a short explanation of the effects. Unfortunately their relationship to how much equals exactly how much damage you can expect from them is never explained, but you can extrapolate from what you see in game. I think someone on these forums posted it, or maybe another forum some idea that somewhat makes a little sense.

You are correct. I chose a trainer so I could play a game I paid $50 for. Don't misunderstand, combat is simple enough, but there is a steep learning curve for a game that has no instructions, and my time is too limited to waste it when there could at least be some basic instructions. I will enjoy the story now and learn gradually without all the frustration.
