May 29, 200916 yr So, I got rid of my DS the other day and aquired a manly PSP instead, along with God of War and Metal Gear Solid. Haven't regret it so far. I'm also itchy for something RPG-ish/Strategy, so the only stuff that would be available would be either Jeanne d'Arc or Final Fantasy Tactics. Which one is better, and why? I'm leaning towards jeanne d'arc because FF is a matter of taste, but I never played the Tactics series so perhaps it is good after all. Any opinions are welcome. Rain makes everything better.

I have DS, but i have few friends with PSP who laugh at concept of playing with touchstick (or how the hell is it called)... And I will be buying PSP with Dissidia release this year aswell... My biggest problem with DS is that it does not have memory card slot like PSP and you can save mostly only on 2 or 3 positions directly on the game cartridge, which is for many games, especialy RPGs, pretty retarded... May 29, 200916 yr I enjoyed Jeanne D'Arc quite a bit, probably moreso than Tactics. For some reason I am a nasty perfectionist/min-maxer in these kinds of games, and I find it hard to deal with Tactics' character upgrade system without plotting that stuff out far in advance, which means I basically have to sit down with a walkthrough to play them. Jeanne D'arc is a bit more mellow and I found that I could just play it and enjoy it. There is also Dungeons and Dragons: Tactics, which is a similar style of game and a surprisingly faithful interpretation of the 4E rules, but it has a nasty framerate. One game I would highly recommend you trying out is Metal Gear Acid and/or Metal Gear Acid 2. They look ridiculous, but they are really fun turn-based strategy games with an addictive card-collection minigame included to boot. I probably put in a hundred hours or more on those games alone, especially MGA2, which smooths out some framerate issues from the first game and adds a couple hundred new cards to the mix. I bought a DS and played it for about a week, when I realized I hadn't touched it in a year I got a PSP, which I use quite often. Sometimes as a game system, but mostly as a portable media device. The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.
