Reuters is reporting on an interesting web based health initiative designed to make it easier to tell partners about a recent STD diagnosis. The service offers six different e-cards that someone can send (either signed or unsigned) after being diagnosed with an STD to let people you

I know it looks awful, but there is a real problem with people refusing to tell past partners to get checked up. Anything which makes the process easier must therefore be a good thing?

I wonder how much this service will be abused. Perhaps a better option would be for hospitals/doctors to offer (and advertise) these kinds of services to their patients.

 

But maybe I'm being alarmist and people will respect the service and use it for its intended purpose.
