June 23, 200817 yr So I have a more or less awful rig, but I remember actually using 3d shadows in CnC: Generals. Here's the thing: No other game supports them. Apparently it's my driver setup that doesn't support it, or maybe just my driver, or (hopefully not) my crappy rig. Is there any way I could get shadows to work on my computer? I have a Intel 915 video card, 512MB RAM, and a 516 Intel Pentium Processor, if that info helps. Thanks, WILL "Alright, I've been thinking. June 23, 200817 yr It's your video card. Or rather, lack of video card. The Intel 915 is not really a video card, it's something that's supposed to help the computer show 2D images on a screen. Not sure what I would call it. Anyhow, your thingie probably doesn't support hardware shadow mapping and almost every game out there uses that feature. Except C&C: Generals.. The intel chips don't really do anything besides ...um... well I know they don't do shadows and stuff. Drink beer. "It wasn't lies.
