So I have a more or less awful rig, but I remember actually using 3d shadows in CnC: Generals. Here's the thing: No other game supports them.

Apparently it's my driver setup that doesn't support it, or maybe just my driver, or (hopefully not) my crappy rig. Is there any way I could get shadows to work on my computer?

I have a Intel 915 video card, 512MB RAM, and a 516 Intel Pentium Processor, if that info helps.

Thanks,

WILL

It's your video card. Or rather, lack of video card. The Intel 915 is not really a video card, it's something that's supposed to help the computer show 2D images on a screen. Not sure what I would call it.

Anyhow, your thingie probably doesn't support hardware shadow mapping and almost every game out there uses that feature. Except C&C: Generals..

Ouch. I hate to break it to you, since I had the same problem with my old computer. The intel chips don't really do anything besides ...um... well I know they don't do shadows and stuff. Drink beer.

The hateful thing about this is that Bok will probably make it work, too.

Yeah, he'll probably find a way to rig 2 or more Intel chips together :)
