Sorry, but DRM/SecuROM discussion is no longer MEPC related as SecuROM is included in MEPC and this will not change.

interesting, so, in the MEPC forum, where this problem emerged, it is now not anymore allowed to discuss it or complain about it (not to mention petitions)

your thoughts?

EA and Bioware own the forums and they limit on what is allowed to discuss as they see fit. However, this practice can be counter-productive when you try to re-arrage on what to say and where (and where not talking about something that is just way offtopic in forum for games), since it can be perceived as bad customer service.

"Some men see things as they are and say why?"
"I dream things that never were and say why not?"
- George Bernard Shaw

"Hope in reality is the worst of all evils because it prolongs the torments of man."
- Friedrich Nietzsche

"The amount of energy necessary to refute bull**** is an order of magnitude bigger than to produce it."

- Some guy

Most people were focusing on the SecuROM issues in general and not how it specifically pertained to Mass Effect. Since it wasn't specifically game related to their title or any of their titles the Off Topic forum was the best place for it. They could simply not allow any discussion about it whatsoever if they so wished.

Murphy's Law of Computer Gaming: The listed minimum specifications written on the box by the publisher are not the minimum specifications of the game set by the developer.

@\NightandtheShape/@ - "Because you're a bizzare strange deranged human?"

Walsingham- "Sand - always rushing around, stirring up apathy."

Joseph Bulock - "Another headache, courtesy of Sand"

I care so little about this that I'm surprised I'm even posting in the thread.

I think spam threads like this belong in the Bioware Off Topic forum...

Alternatively, Mass Effect and DRM has already been discussed ad nauseam here: http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?showtopic=49778
