There both near the same price, in my price range but the E6850 cost a little more than the Quad. Since I couldn't wait for Newegg to ever get a E8400 in stock, I went for the E6850 instead. Poor saps NCIX had a stock of them a couple weeks ago, but they seem to be all out now. They are still taking orders for when the get more in. ETA looks to be some time in April for them.
