2008 is gonna be a lame year for games.

Yeah, but wasn't this year particularly outstanding, at least on the PC side? S.T.A.L.K.E.R., MotB, the Witcher, Beyond the Sword, Puzzle Quest, Crysis, Gears of War, Sam & Max: Season 1, Democracy 2. That's a pretty good lineup.

Also considering I still haven't bought almost half that list, I'm guessing I'll have plenty of stuff to keep me entertained in 2008.

Cheer up! :p

There could be more NWN2 expansion or adventure packs, if Mysteries of Westgate is a success. Not to mention the first Planescape Trilogy mod.

There are four more episodes to go of Sam & Max Season 2, and plenty more great adventure games due.

Fable 2 deserves a chance - the first one had promise, at least.

I did. Another game I still haven't bought. My wallet screams with horror.

I cursed the companies that make 3D games. Give us back the cool 2D games! No more DX10 or uber graphics cards. Poor Boki.

No, it's your fault cuz all you do is play the same 12-year-old-games over and over,

so devs decided they arent gonna make any more good games :p

Because older games are better and don't require the uber graphics cards and hot systems that games today require. They would rather make something with pretty images than a decent story and well developed characters.

By the way, no one reacted to the casual insertion of Democracy 2 in my earlier post, so I'll just say it:

Go get it! It's a deep, realistic TBS game where you rule a country. It's great and it only costs 20

STALKER: Clear Sky is supposed to be out in Spring 2008. Even with slippage, hopefully it will make 2008 at some point. I'm highly looking forward to that. My hope is that it will be everything that S:SOC was plus all the stuff they had to leave out plus refinements of existing systems.

Notice how I can belittle your beliefs without calling you names. It's a useful skill to have particularly where you aren't allowed to call people names. It's a mistake to get too drawn in/worked up. I mean it's not life or death, it's just two guys posting their thoughts on a message board. If it were personal or face to face all the usual restraints would be in place, and we would never have reached this place in the first place. Try to remember that.
