HELP: XBL update messed up the game...

Featured Replies

You know how (for you XBL users) when you start up a game, XBL asks you to update it, if there's an update to download off the Xbox Live server? Yeah. So, I start up SW: KotOR II for the first time in while, and it asks me to update. So, I do, figuring, why the hell not? I start the game, and the startup screen is so f**ked up. Where it'd say "Press Start" it says something like "Media-R 15," and the whole meu is messed up too. I loaded my game anyway to see if that happens in game too, and it goes. Everyone still says the right stuff, but all the text in the popup windows is wrong... hell, I saw something form the game engine's code..

PLEASE HELP! I want to play the game.

I think I could just delete the datafile without the game in the console to fix it (and not update, of course) but fixing it without losing my data would be awesome. Also, this is something that Obsidian should fix, since they seem to have a screwed up update.

Umm, hello?

Almost non-one here plays the x-box version, so you might have to wait awhile for a response...

If this is update related at all, it's a corruption issue. Which means you would have to delete the update and then re-update.

I had the same problem awhile back, though not because of an update.

I just deleted all my saved games and restarted my Xbox. Worked fine after that.

I tried that; didn't work. How do I delete updates? Also, I'm playing the Xbox version on the 360.

Not sure about the updates, though it may be the 360 itself. From what Ive heard, the idiots over at Microsoft didn't bother to make the thing backwards-compatible with some games from the original, so that may be the problem.

Is this the first time you've played it on the 360 version?

Is this your first time playing it on an Xbox360?

If no, is it a diffrenct 360 then the one you previously played the game on?

What Xbox360 drive do you have? hitachi, Samsung, BenQ? (or better yet when was your console manufactured)

And last what Color is the game cd by the bottom (silver or another color?)
