Telos Academy Help

Hi

 

Every time i play i get to the Telos Academy and i enter and nothing happens, i try to talk to atton or kreia and all i get is some cheat node stuff. Clicking on either of them doesn't help either.

 

PC Version, XP Home. No Cheats being used, never enabled cheats either.

I've give you a typical answer here - try to find a recent save game before the academy and hope it fixes it - or reinstall KOTOR...

ALWAYS save the game before entering Telos Academy because this bug hits often. Save just before you enter, and if you get the bug, go back to your save and try again. It may take several tries before you get through without the bug.

 

Or you could give this mod a try, although you will still have to restore from an older (pre-Academy) save game. The readme for the mod does include instructions if you don't have an old save game or don't want to backtrack, but it involves using a character editor.

Thanks guys, i saved before entering the mod that Benfea sayed fixed it.

The glitch is caused by you saying anything other than 'Who are you?" to the Handmaiden when you enter and are challanged. Just select this as your response and you'll avoid the glitch-hence this is also why you need to have a save game from before entering the academy. I've found that 9 times out of 10 the game will have autosaved either as you enter, or just before you have the fight with the droids, so its worth checking that out.

Q. I am at the Telos Academy. Instead of being locked up my teammates stand behind me and they talk about a Cheat Node

A. This following issue has been caused by the 1.0B bug. There are 4 known solutions to fix this issue

1. Re-install Kotor2 without 1.0B

2. Download a fix here...

3. When entering the Academy, first ask who they are. Dropping your weapons immediately actually causes this bug to happen.

This one can come in handy if you haven't got a savegame from before the Academy, or that one is too far away from your current position

The solution requires to set the global variable 262TEL_Atton_Talk" to 1 with KSE. The latest version of KSE is available here:

(people who have the non-english version of windows have to download KSEa instead of KSE).
