Spider
If you know what you're doing, the luck bonus is easy enough to get before level 9 iirc. As in there are no extremely tough enemies you have to fight or anything. Or it's just to hold of selecting the level 9 perk until the bonus is gained. I just typically feel that there aren't enough points at character creation to justify putting more in Luck than I have to. But I guess that's because I've played more with Slayer than Sniper (iirc, Slayer doesn't require a luck roll, no matter what the manual says). Slowtrain
Any build with a 10 agility and a high endurance and at least one tagged combat skill of any sort is completely playable. Unarmed/Melee fighters will have a disadvantage outdoors, but in cqb inside or even outside in high cover areas they are awesome. In Fallout I had one character who let Harry take her back to meet the Lt, and she defeated the lt with only the super sledge when she was a weak level 7 or 8 character. Notice how I can belittle your beliefs without calling you names. It's a useful skill to have particularly where you aren't allowed to call people names. It's a mistake to get too drawn in/worked up. I mean it's not life or death, it's just two guys posting their thoughts on a message board. If it were personal or face to face all the usual restraints would be in place, and we would never have reached this place in the first place. Try to remember that. Lord Elden
If you know what you're doing, the luck bonus is easy enough to get before level 9 iirc. If you head there quickly, yes. But I usually do all quests in towns before that landing at 15+ levels or so... I dislike taking short cuts just to get something from the game. (Like how some people go straight to Navarro to get the APA...) The only justification to get it early is to go there in conjunction with the Stark quest . I just typically feel that there aren't enough points at character creation to justify putting more in Luck than I have to. But I guess that's because I've played more with Slayer than Sniper (iirc, Slayer doesn't require a luck roll, no matter what the manual says). It doesn't no. Interestingly enough, the FO1 manual actually gives the right information... Edited April 19, 2007 by Lord Elden
