Blodhemn
I don't know how to link Gamespot vids so here's an inferior youtube link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ijdXUg1fTYM Ok just forget about the story and look at all of the ragdoll done to an excessive degree. That pretty much just sold the game to me right there. And with those big tentacle things with heads, why would you even want to use a gun? Doing the crazy sounding voices coming from "the Darkness" is none other than Mike Patton. What an odd choice but it works!
Morgoth
Looks fun. I'll definitely get it once it's out for the PC too. Rain makes everything better.
Kaftan Barlast
Alot of people from my Uni are now at Starbreeze and have been working on that game, its a good developer and the game should disapoint noone. Meshugger
Will this be released to the PC as well? Since it's been made by Starbreeze, i am very interested in this one. Oh, and Mike Patton = instant win! Yeah, I remember you saying that before. Those guys are nothing but quality. Will this be released to the PC as well? Since it's been made by Starbreeze, i am very interested in this one. Oh, and Mike Patton = instant win! Not sure but I hope so. Hopefully they do as like with Riddick. First person style games work better on a PC and I can only imagine how bad the physics are going to wreck my PC. Another nice little note is that the TVs in the game will be playing some full-length movies(Nosferatu - the silent version) and episodes of The Simpsons and who knows what else. Concerning disc storage this may be the first time we see an advantage Blu-Ray having over DVD in games. Although it's over a meaningless feature, still more disc space = more content at less compressed levels. It's a start.
Blodhemn
Just got The Darkness. This game is ****in' cool. The environment feels like a mix between Bloodlines, FEAR and of course Riddick. Very cool that you can just walk about and explore and interact with objects such as TVs, phones, light switches and various crap like that. Speaking of TV's, it's hilarious, you can sit down and watch full length movies if you want. To Kill A Mockingbird was one of them and along with some music/cartoon channels. Also, the use of phones is really cool. You can just dial any number and get some random person's answering machine or business to answer. If you find collectables you go to the nearest phone and dial the number for that specific one and usually get a funny message that unlocks extra content. The humor factor reminds me a bit of Bloodlines, which of course is welcome! Just walking around in the subway is cool too in waiting for the next train to come along. I've had more fun just looking at various craps in the game than I've had with the whole experiences of the last two games I've bought. The only problem really, is that the AI is a tad weak. Well, the guns aren't that great either but the Darkness powers are cool(you can eat hearts out of corpses). Don't expect some FEAR type engaging battles, but really, what other games have great AI like that one? Oh, and the visuals are really f'n nice! Meshugger
Sounds something really great, can't wait to get a hold of it. Blodhemn
It's one of those games that you could beat in one sitting if you had the time. A good bit of cool little surprises and breaks from the action part of the game that keep it from getting repetitive like most FPS. Something I really like is that there's practically no interface, nor is there any health or armor to worry about picking up. I just had to get used to playing a shooter on a console again. It feels awkward at first but now I'm really enjoying putting a bullet in some poor guy's skull. The story is well implemented too. It's just very immersive and feeds you along as you go. Great voice acting too.
Tale
Anyone know if there's a PC version planned? "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater."
Blodhemn
I haven't read anything on it yet. I hope so though. I would get it again for PC. I like the more intimate experience that comes with playing on the PC.
Tale
I hope they do. Butcher Bay eventually came to PC. I'll probably be getting an Xbox 360 in the coming months, but I like to know just in case I don't. "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater." Blodhemn
Yep. I rented Riddick, beat it in 3 days then got the PC version that came out some months later. Fun game. I'll keep you posted if I see anything regarding a PC release.
