Volourn
http://interviews.teamxbox.com/xbox/1890/B...ffect-Part-2/p1 Not much meat to this one; but it talks about possible demo or soemthing really special pre release. Part 1 here: http://interviews.teamxbox.com/xbox/1886/B...fect-Part-1/p1/ Most talks about their relationship with MS, and exploration. Not exactly the most game oriented two part interview ever. Meshugger
The preview didn't say much really, except for how focused they are when working with ME: "So, for us, it "Some men see things as they are and say why?""I dream things that never were and say why not?"- George Bernard Shaw"Hope in reality is the worst of all evils because it prolongs the torments of man."- Friedrich Nietzsche "The amount of energy necessary to refute bull**** is an order of magnitude bigger than to produce it." - Some guy
Volourn
That was just used as per usual; but there's a part of me that wonders if that was a crack at the Codex 'interview'. L0L I think I will EXTREMELY enjoy ME even though I'm still skepticial about the dialogue system... Edited February 13, 2007 by Volourn DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250. Morgoth
The "dialog" system sounds pretty cool for that kind of game. ME wants to be a Hollywood blockbuster, so reading and waiting is not an option. That's fine for ME, but for DA I'm expecting the good ol' multiple choice procedure with some neat surprises here and there... Rain makes everything better. Sand
I plan on getting this game... ...when it comes to the PC. Volourn
That word has beene xtremely beaten to death ruining the fun out of it all because of that lame article. The funny was funnier in various posts with pics. ME will be a cool (extreme) Action RPG. I also like the length they are shooting far (to get this back on topic). Morgoth
And, ME does have dialogue lines. Full sentences even. Full sentences? Then you must talk about another game. Volourn
You better look at more ME screenshots,a nd videos if you think that's the only 'dialogue' ME shows. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.

Sand
From my nderstanding of ME dialogue is that you get a number of choices expressed as feelings or general gist of being agressive, friendly, and whatnot then your character has spoken lines that fits closely in the style you choose to represent yourself. You don't pick exactly what you say, but what you mean in what you are saying. A more indepth version of dialog used in Bard's Tale. I don't like it. Morgoth
It may work well with ME, but I don't want to see that in DA, especially since the Biowarians are claiming to create some sort of a BG spiritual successor. Sand
I like to choose exactly what my character is to say. I also prefer my character not have a voice at all except for covering the basics like how NWN/KotOR does it. Also I don't want every single NPC to have a voice. Just the important ones will suffice. NWN2 did this quite well. I will have to say that NWN2 has the best balance in voice work in a CRPG yet. It hits exactly where I like to see nonvoiced/voiced characters/ Edited February 14, 2007 by Sand Murphy's Law of Computer Gaming: The listed minimum specifications written on the box by the publisher are not the minimum specifications of the game set by the developer. @\NightandtheShape/@ - "Because you're a bizzare strange deranged human?" Volourn
"the Biowarians are claiming to create some sort of a BG spiritual successor." It's also a successor to NWN up to, and including a toolset. Again, however, ME will have full setence dialogue choice. Look at screenshots, and video. Not as long winded as other BIO RPGs; but still full sentences though. I have the same problem that Sand has though with MNE's dialogue - the fact that, I too, prefe rto know exact what I'm choosing for my character to say ebfore I choose it. I don't want other people putting other words in my mouth - not in RL, or IG. Sand: I disagree. I think in 2007, and beyond, a game without fullly voiced or nearly fully voiced dialogue simply aren't striving for quality. NWN2 was ok in this department; but I much prefer JE or BL's appproach to this. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
