Arkan Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 (edited) PITTSBURGH (AP) Edited February 5, 2007 by Arkan "Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger." - Herman Goering at the Nuremberg trials "I have also been slowly coming to the realisation that knowledge and happiness are not necessarily coincident, and quite often mutually exclusive" - meta
Tale Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 (edited) Sexual abuse of children? Was she sending them to other children? If not, then that charge won't hold. The others should. Otherwise, sounds appropriate, assuming Pittsburgh has no other laws that are more specific to this situation. Pidesco Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 She is being charged with sexually abusing herself? You Americans are nuts. Tale Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 It was March of 2004, I wonder if I can find a follow up. "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater."
Walsingham Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Well, you could argue that the law cannot afford the precedent of permitting it in cases f self publicisation. Because then abusers could just twist their victims into doing stuff to themselves. But more probably the letter of the law states that publishing underage photos is an offence, and US cops being what they are they have to follow the letter of the law. *smug intent-based saxon law type Britisher* "It wasn't lies. It was just... bull****"." -Elwood Blues tarna's dead; processing... complete. Disappointed by Universe. RIP Hades/Sand/etc. Here's hoping your next alt has a harp.
