ramza
As most of people who are still playing NWN1, I downloaded the latest patch (1.68) that added visible cloaks among other features. After playing with it for a while, I started disliking the way cloaks were made for the game (they looked more like huge potato bags than anything else!) and deciced to un-install the game and to re-install it. I then installed patch 1.67 instead and tried to load some of my previous savegames. To my big surprise, I couldn't load them because they were saved under the newest patch, which caused some incompatibility issues with my current version of NWN. Now I am literally stuck without knowing what to do. Is there a way to undo what patch 1.68 did to my savegames or do I have to go through the game (actually, they are just fan-made mods, not the OC) all over again? Can someone help me please? ramza
Actually, the trick doesn't really work but if someone has some knowledge about programming and stuff, there should be a way to mess with that cloakmodel.2da file. I am just so clueless about these things... "Ooo, squirrels, Boo! I know I saw them! Quick, throw nuts!" -Minsc "I am a well-known racist in the Realms! Elves? Dwarves? Ha! Kill'em all! ramza
To color your cloaks, you need those special items to dye them and those cannot be easily found in custom-made modules. Besides, changing their color won't remove their ugliness. Edited November 18, 2006 by ramza "Ooo, squirrels, Boo! I know I saw them! Also there are atleast 6 different looking cloaks, it can't be you dislike all 6 styles.
Jorian Drake
Well, firstly, all of them are very 'thin'; they dont wrap around your shoulders, so that they look pretty silly, like a kid trying to play superman. It doesn't help that one of the tsyles has a big stupid star on it. Seriously, what the heck?! Can't wait until Obsidian actually fixes the toolset so I can take a look at the full array of decor available, many of the OC's offerings were pretty bad. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Uhh....are you still talking about NWN1 ...or already about NWN2 ?! Tigranes
Crappy cookies. I blame the fact that there are like 12 NWN2 threads. I thought the official nwn1 cloaks were pretty varied, actually. Not too bad for a patch addon. Let's Play: Icewind Dale Ironman (Complete) Let's Play: Icewind Dale II Ironman (Complete) Let's Play: Divinity II (Complete) Let's Play: Baldur's Gate Trilogy Ironman - BG1 (Complete) Let's Play: Baldur's Gate Trilogy Ironman - BG2 (In Progress)

ramza
IMO, I still find them very ugly, and I FINALLY found a way to disable them. I went to the NW vault and looked for an altered cloakmodel.2da file and there was one. I just downloaded it and put it in my override folder and VOILA! No more stupid-looking cloaks! http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=other.Detail&id=1134 Edited November 19, 2006 by ramza "Ooo, squirrels, Boo! I know I saw them!
