Musopticon? Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 "Ay beumbe!" :D kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. I had to fight against blood thirsty wolves and rabid penguins to get my food. Shryke Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 i only found out about the whole bomb thingy on like my 5th playthrough i was always too suspicious of that guy to let him live.... when your mind works against you - fight back with substance abuse!
metadigital Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 Yeah, I usually have a high collateral body count. (Though, to be fair, I use the tranquilizer / riot prod on everyone except the really bad guys.) OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT
Shryke Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 yeah it's actually quite interesting if you still to knock-outs rather than kills "go kill this guy" "ok, so i knocked him out" "what?! i said KILL him!" after the whole lebedev thing though, it doesn't really seem to make a difference... when your mind works against you - fight back with substance abuse!
Dark_Raven Posted October 22, 2006 Author Posted October 22, 2006 knock outs? Kill e';m all let god sort them out. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
Dark_Raven Posted October 22, 2006 Author Posted October 22, 2006 **** happens! Like opps so sorry about that. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
Surreptishus Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Ok, so like this is a truly awesome game. When you return to battery park is there any way out or is capture inevitable? Also does killing navarre have any appreciable effect on the game?

Surreptishus Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Ah, ok thanks. That saves me a dead end course of action. I can see why you and everybody else raves about this game. Also, to anybody that cares I think DX beats System Shock 2 hands down.

Pop Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 I'm trying to get my friend into this game, but he can't seem to really master the stealth system, and it's killing the game for him. I'm going on and on about the story, but it means about **** if he can't play through to it. Uh, suggestions? I think it's FPS format, more than anything. He likes MGS a lot, but he just can't figure this one out. Join me, and we shall make Production Beards a reality!

I haven't tried this particular plot branch for a while. I'm trying to get my friend into this game, but he can't seem to really master the stealth system, and it's killing the game for him. He likes MGS a lot, but he just can't figure this one out. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The tutorial is brilliant for this. What is the root of the problem? Crouching? That can be set to toggle, rather than holding the (Shift by default) key down for the duration. The first level, at the Statue, is also pretty good for stealth practice. Weapon choice might be a factor, too: it's a bit hard to hide if you shoot off the GEP gun ... :D OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT

Slowtrain Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 I think DX beats System Shock 2 hands down. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> noplz. Notice how I can belittle your beliefs without calling you names. It's a useful skill to have particularly where you aren't allowed to call people names. It's a mistake to get too drawn in/worked up. I mean it's not life or death, it's just two guys posting their thoughts on a message board. If it were personal or face to face all the usual restraints would be in place, and we would never have reached this place in the first place. Try to remember that.
metadigital Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Who needs stealth when you've got a GEP gun <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's taken me until this runthrough to specialize in rifles; I kept getting side-tracked into flame-throwers ... :D OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT
alanschu Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 I never specialized at all in flamethrowers nor GEP guns, but I still used them. THey were plenty useful at their default levels. Just didn't move as fast.
metadigital Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Yeah, they take up a lot of space, though ... not enough room to have them as well as the flame-thrower ... OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT

Also; Killing Anna there saves you from doing it at UNATCO. Not much different (besides you miss her making fun of you in prison) And IMO I always picked up the GEP there. Used it on loads of cams and bots in the game. Prefered weapon (skill lvl 3) was the pistol; but my latest game I try the SMG. With lvl 3 and plenty of mods installed all it takes is 3 sniper shots to the head Edited October 22, 2006 by Hassat Hunter ^ I agree that that is such a stupid idiotic pathetic garbage hateful retarded scumbag evil satanic nazi like term ever created.
