kirottu Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 I think that if Jade Empire is anything like the lost chapters it will do well... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It wont have any new quests. This post is not to be enjoyed, discussed, or referenced on company time.
6 Foot Invisible Rabbit Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 The dialog and voice acting was decent in my opinion. It fit well within the scope and style of the game. In many aspects the voice acting was far superior to what they did in KotOR and NWN. Compared to a Oscar winning performance, yes they are not so great but in of themselves within the scope of the gaming industry they were more than adequate and superior to its peers. Harvey
Volourn Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 "still have crap dialogue if I was Jamaican and couldn't read English. It's just bad." No. Anyone who thinks this doesn't know good dialogue. Sorry. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
Amentep Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 I quite liked the dialogue in Jade Empire; while it is a fairly straightforward game, I did think they did a good job of differentiating the characters and giving them different dialogues and stories to tell. Oddly enough, Henpecked Ho was probably my least liked character (even though he has some amusing stories) of those who join your party. I cannot - yet I must. How do you calculate that? At what point on the graph do "must" and "cannot" meet? Yet I must - but I cannot! ~ Ro-Man
Volourn Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 Agreed. Ho was amusing at times; but he seemed to be overrated by more than a few JE fans. We get it. His wife, and him fight a lot. HAHAHA! DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
6 Foot Invisible Rabbit Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 I do like the ending credits VO between him and his wife. That was pretty funny. My favorite character had to be Black Whirlwind. Especially at the end when we took control of him at the end of the game. "JUST KILL THE DAMN GOLEM ALREADY!" HA! Harvey
Draken Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 Ho's best line was "Time to knead to some dough!". My personal favorite character was probably Ya Zhen. It was incredibly amusing to hear his apathetic yet casual comments on the things going on around him. Plus, having a toad demon in your party is pretty boss. Seriously, only like, three people can touch my body
