September 6, 200619 yr What about for AGP-Express? Isn't that one of those dual-PCI slots where you can plug in an AGP card? IIRC AGP performance sucked, and it didn't support PCI-express either.
September 6, 200619 yr I wouldn't count on any DirectX 10 AGP cards being made. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Why is that? If they don't it wont break my heart, but I don't see why they wouldn't. The demand for AGP is still high and the performance capacity of AGP hasn't been reached yet. Look at the Gainward Bliss 7800GS+ 512MB that really has the 7800GT, it performs great. September 6, 200619 yr because there's no upgrade path. new mobos are all pcix (or is it pci-express... always switch the two). either way, demand or not, new technology always gets paired with new technology. directx 10 being new, and pci-whatever being new, that's what you'll see. taks comrade taks... just because.

September 10, 200619 yr Have you gotten one yet? I was kinda in the same boat - didn't want to upgrade to a PCI-E motherboard/build a new pc - so got the 7800GS. Been pretty happy with it, and since my previous vid card, while ok model wise, was only 128vidram, I thought it worth the price for something I'll use until I get around to upgrading the board. Still gaming with my 9900k/2080ti/32 ram. One day I suppose a game may inspire me to finally upgrade. Maybe.
