LadyCrimson Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 I think it's an over-reaction. But I can see how some folks might get in arms over it...TV can be a powerfully influential medium, even if it's unintentional or irrational. *points to alanchu's quote* If one of the groups does particularly bad and gets eliminated, I can't wait for the conclusion that many of the twits that watch the show will come to. “Things are as they are. Looking out into the universe at night, we make no comparisons between right and wrong stars, nor between well and badly arranged constellations.” – Alan Watts
Hurlshort Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 When a team loses, they will probably be forced to vote one of their own off. It's not like an entire racial group will be sent home at once.

But if one team does poorly, they'll be voting their team off one at a time, numerous times in succession.
Walsingham Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 If any of you chaps had done something like this I'd give you the benefit of the doubt. But when a major US network does it, I'm afraid my charity mysteriously peters out. I think they did it cynically expecting massive frictions, and ensuing commentary in all media. "It wasn't lies. It was just... bull****"." -Elwood Blues tarna's dead; processing... complete. Disappointed by Universe. RIP Hades/Sand/etc. Here's hoping your next alt has a harp.
