Atreides
Anyone tried it? Feedback? It's a adventure game from 1999 set in Terry Pratchett's Discworld. Here's a review I googled but I'm not sure whether I should try it. http://www.adventureclassicgaming.com/inde...te/reviews/119/ Spreading beauty with my katana. Atreides
I wonder whether Yoda was testing Luke when he said that to see if Luke'd flip out and give in to the Dark Side. Just sayin'. Spreading beauty with my katana.
Krookie
http://www.gamespot.com/pc/adventure/discw...iscworld%20Noir it got some good user-reply-ratings on Gamespot. Give it a try. if it's from 2000, it can't be that expensive now-a-days.
SteveThaiBinh
I absolutely loved it. Very funny dialogue. You have to turn off your twitchy impatient game instincts and really let yourself enjoy the long, absurd, and hilarious conversations your character has, and bizarre situations he gets himself into. In gameplay terms it's a fairly standard point-and-click adventure, but extremely well written. "An electric puddle is not what I need right now." Hassat Hunter
I liked it, even though I managed to get hopelessly stuck even when using a walkthrough ^ I agree that that is such a stupid idiotic pathetic garbage hateful retarded scumbag evil satanic nazi like term ever created. At least top 5. SteveThaiBinh
How much akin is it to 1 and 2 (apart from being 3D, of course)? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The same sense of humour is there, but a lot of the humour of Discworld Noir comes from parodying the film noir genre. There are still a lot of inventory-based puzzles, but it doesn't get quite as far out of hand as in 1 and 2. It's just as long, and features voice acting as good as or better than the first two. If you enjoyed the first two, I think there's a good chance you'll love it. "An electric puddle is not what I need right now." I really need to get around to finishing this game come to mention it. We now bring you live footage from the World Championship Staring Final.
