Not sure if discussions of such things are allowed here, but I'll ask anyway, as I'm at a loss.

I'm tryingto download some old video clips, but whenever I click on a torrent to download it (using Opera browser's built in client), it gets the file information, then, without fail, sit at 0% completed in the actual file transfer. Can someone help me remedy this situation? I'm pretty sure I'm not behind a firewall and all that. And in case you can't tell, I'm relatively new to this torrent thing...

"Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger."

What video clips are you trying to download, Arkan? It's so much easier if you use Firefox's Greasemonkey extension to save clips from youtube or google video.

I think there's nobody seeding, especially if its an old torrent. The system depends on people sharing at the same time you're on, so if nobody's sharing you're stuck.

Last time i tried to use Opera's built in client, it failed to download properly. So i suggest you another client. Azureus, uTorrent, BitComet, etc.

Operas torrent extension seems to suck a lot. It slowed my surfing speed to a crawl when I was using it. I went back to bitcomet.

So far I have had no problems with uTorrent but if no one is seeding then it doesn't matter what torrent client you use.

That's what you get for using an inferior web browser!
