I can't figure out the equation. I know I have done it before, but I am having trubble remembering how to do it.

 

(6_2)_8_9_1=13

Well no accually I'm not that good at math anymore.

 

Thanks for the help, like I said I had gotten it before (really), but I just could get it this time.

You must have not be good at math in school.

 

(6 * 2) - 8 + 9 * 1 = 13

 

 

What works for me is (6*2) - 8 + 9 / 1 = 13. I think it's a bug that only one of these solutions work and it's not necessarily the same every time.

There are two solutions for the puzzle, both of which work every time. 13 * 1 or 13 / 1 is still 13.

Technically there is one solution, dividing or multiplying by one is the same operation. Its called multiplicitave identity.

 

I just couldnt resist. Im a math major, and how many times do you get a math question on this forum.

Wasn't there an option to blow it up...I'm sure thats what I did as I can't remember what terminal your talking about.
