Obsidian's Religious Beliefs

Recommended Posts

I can't telp but notice that the favicon.ico and devpost.gif are the symbols fo the Forgotten Realms deity Shar. Does the Obsidian staff stay up all night keeping secrets and use modern day technology with shadow weave? I know what the programmers are up to.

What do you have to say for yourselves? Too much NWN2?

What a couple of doofi. The question is, what impact will Shar have on the design team? As long as they don't start sacrificing forum members, I'll be okay.

For a serious moment, Sawyer used to give all sorts of interesting hints in stuff like that. I doubt it's the case here, but you never know.

I thought it was the letter O from the divine alphabet. I always wondered where he went after he left "The Smoldering Corpse" bar in Sigil :)

Well, leaving its name aside, what is its meaning?

it's meaning varies .. from representing Venus as the star and Godess of fertility to Satanism and devilworship (in Christianity) .. but the five-pointed star is a very used symbol, so it really depends on who's cultural and/or religious glasses you are wearing!

Does make sense. Sounds familiar too. Might be why terrorist attacks were launched against Pentagon in US.

Right, thanks.

So, shapes ending with -gram will be of a certain kind. Pentagram then.

Somehow, tend to think it sounds like being cult-related.

Or perhaps I am imagining things.

Pentagram

That's pentacle. Pentagram is pentacle with a circle, and often inverted.
