Judge Hades Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 You don't have much to tone down. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If I put Oblivion on minimum settings I could pull about 100 to 120 frames per second.

Judge Hades Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 When I do buy a graphics card I go for the mid range stuff. They are good enough for my puroses, Llyr. The PS2 is almost at the price new I would almost consider getting one.
Llyranor Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Then comes the question: what PC games? Ha. NWN2 is 20 hrs long lol. DA is vaporware. (Approved by Fio, so feel free to use it)
Darque Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 NWN2 is 20 hrs long lol. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> PC value at it's finest.

Dark_Raven Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 What's the rest of your computer like? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Windows XP Home AMD Sempron Processor 3400+ 1024 Meg RAM DDR 184 Pin 160 Gig Hard Drive 80 Gig Hard Drive DVD-RW Soundblaster X-Fi Radeon X700 Pro 256 Meg RAM <{POST_SNAPBACK}> AMD? Surprise you can play anything on that. " Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
LoneWolf16 Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Dude...wtf? AMD are the gaming chips. That joke would make sense were it an Intel. Dark_Raven Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Intel makes the best chip sets out there. I will always have a PC with an Intel chip. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
Llyranor Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Aren't Sempron the cheap ones, though? (Approved by Fio, so feel free to use it)
Darque Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 I see, once again, "someone" decided to delete my posts after getting called on something.... Poor form.
Dark_Raven Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Aren't Sempron the cheap ones, though? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
Judge Hades Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Aren't Sempron the cheap ones, though? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, the system did cost me under $600.
alanschu Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Intel makes the best chip sets out there. I will always have a PC with an Intel chip. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> For the record, you shouldn't use the term "chipsets" which are entirely different that CPU processors. Intel does make excellent chipsets (well, the used to), but AMD has been a fantastic alternative, especially for gaming since 2000 when the Athlon Processor came out. If you prefer to have a processor that, while still good, typically doesn't perform as well in gaming, continue to buy an Intel processor.
LoneWolf16 Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Aren't Sempron the cheap ones, though? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Eh, still better than the Intel chips in the same price range. And damn DR, quit deleting posts. First the "All console games are 10-15 hours" one then Darque's "I got 182 hours with <Insert Japanese title>" post. Seriously now, abuse of power. Dark_Raven Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 I will continue to use Intel, it does quite well. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
Moose Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Crikey, someone's stuck well and truly back in 2003 There are none that are right, only strong of opinion. There are none that are wrong, only ignorant of facts
Judge Hades Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Intel are good workhorse CPUs but overall AMDs are better value for power/cost ratio.
Moose Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 What's all the arguement over PC vs Console anyway. Just buy both, problem solved... geez. There are none that are right, only strong of opinion. There are none that are wrong, only ignorant of facts
Llyranor Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Hay, guys. Shhhhh, tone it down with the free speech thing. (Approved by Fio, so feel free to use it)
LoneWolf16 Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Good point. But I'm not rich.
