You don't have much to tone down.

If I put Oblivion on minimum settings I could pull about 100 to 120 frames per second.

What's the rest of your computer like?

When I do buy a graphics card I go for the mid range stuff. They are good enough for my puroses, Llyr. The PS2 is almost at the price new I would almost consider getting one.

Then comes the question: what PC games? Ha.

NWN2 is 20 hrs long lol.

DA is vaporware.

Dude...wtf? AMD are the gaming chips. That joke would make sense were it an Intel.

Intel makes the best chip sets out there. I will always have a PC with an Intel chip.

Aren't Sempron the cheap ones, though?

I see, once again, "someone" decided to delete my posts after getting called on something....

Poor form.

Aren't Sempron the cheap ones, though?

Yes

Well, the system did cost me under $600. :(

For the record, you shouldn't use the term "chipsets" which are entirely different that CPU processors.

Intel does make excellent chipsets (well, the used to), but AMD has been a fantastic alternative, especially for gaming since 2000 when the Athlon Processor came out.

If you prefer to have a processor that, while still good, typically doesn't perform as well in gaming, continue to buy an Intel processor.

Aren't Sempron the cheap ones, though?

Eh, still better than the Intel chips in the same price range.

And damn DR, quit deleting posts. First the "All console games are 10-15 hours" one then Darque's "I got 182 hours with <Insert Japanese title>" post.

Seriously now, abuse of power. :(

It is pretty annoying.

I will continue to use Intel, it does quite well.

Crikey, someone's stuck well and truly back in 2003

There are none that are right, only strong of opinion. There are none that are wrong, only ignorant of facts

good for you

Intel are good workhorse CPUs but overall AMDs are better value for power/cost ratio.

What's all the arguement over PC vs Console anyway. Just buy both, problem solved... geez.

I rather just have one.

Hay, guys. Shhhhh, tone it down with the free speech thing.
