Hassat Hunter Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 To prevent it from cluttering one (of the many) NWN2 threads, I will continue here: Most powerful artifact in the world and he just stoled it? That is a little contived there. Noticed "one of the most". Actual by itself it is useless. You would have learned if you would have continued with the story. Also the betrayals in the Bioware games made sense. Predictable but made sense. And this makes sense. He really didn't want the main char to tell of his finding in his home town... First off there was no plasuible reason for the main baddie to know that he had "the most powrful artifact in the world" What? I don't understand this line... secondly, and more importantly, "the most powerful artifact inthe world" wouldn't be something that a 1st level character should be able to steal. Somebody missed the 5 guardians... Hmmm, level 30. Nah, made for Lvl 1 chars To finish it off I find it funny how you complained that Diablo-type of games lack story, then when one enters in a decent story you crack it because it didn't spoil it's entire load in the first act of the first chapter, but actually has you gather the entire plot while going through it and has such twists. Lol... ^ I agree that that is such a stupid idiotic pathetic garbage hateful retarded scumbag evil satanic nazi like term ever created. At least top 5. Judge Hades Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 (edited) If there was 5 level 30 guardians then how would a 1st level character wouldn't have been able to steal it? Makes. No. Sense. I am not expecting the whole story given to me in the first chapter but I do expect it to make sense. Edited May 13, 2006 by Judge Hades

Hmmmm, maybe YOU didn't steal it? " I am not expecting the whole story given to me in the first chapter but I do expect it to make sense. You cannot follow the storyline of a Diabolish-game... Judge Hades Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 I never said I stoled it. The guy who has the amulet stoled it. I checked his stats. He is level 1 as well.
Dark_Raven Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 I need to get this game. Since Hades says its Diablo like in game play, it has to be good. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
Volourn Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 Um.. if it's anythimng like DS1; it's *nothing* like Diablo combat. It's more 'watch your characters kill your enemies while eating popcorn' and listening to porn music'... DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.

Judge Hades Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 (edited) Its not as bad as it was in DS1, but the combat still doesn;t need much brain power to win. It makes combat in KotOR 1 look the best ever in comparison. Edited May 14, 2006 by Judge Hades
Dark_Raven Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 Why does combat need brain power? Pick up sword and swing. Not too difficult. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
Volourn Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 Yeha; but to do it *well* it does.... DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
Cantousent Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 It's a favorite among the lan guests in these parts. Dark_Raven Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 Yeha; but to do it *well* it does.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Fancy moves like fey dancers does not win. Brute strength prevails. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.

Judge Hades Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 I prefer a little strategy in my combat instead of zerging.
Dark_Raven Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 Tell that to Goliath .... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
Dark_Raven Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 I prefer a little strategy in my combat instead of zerging. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You are beset by charging orcs, your party consists of a combination of melee and ranged and a magic user. Not too much strategy is needed to engage in the logcial choice in this situation, that being melee. A ranged user would be over run by the orcs before they got their first shot off, and any magic user may risk of friendly fire. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
Volourn Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 "magic user may risk of friendly fire." Really? When casting mass charm? Ok then.. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
Dark_Raven Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 "magic user may risk of friendly fire." Really? When casting mass charm? Ok then.. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I am speaking of offensive spells like fireball, lightning, cloud kill, etc. Who uses charm? Most of the time it fails because of saves. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
Volourn Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 Against warriors? I think not. Not if your mage is even half capable. And, if he isn't, he (or she even) shouldn't be a mage in the first place. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
Dark_Raven Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 Eventually the spell will wear off and you still have to contend with an unfriendly. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
Cantousent Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 No, the mage casts slick. The ranger shoots a fire arrow into the oil. The fighter takes care of the burning orcs who manage to get through. Volourn Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 "Eventually the spell will wear off and you still have to contend with an unfriendly." On your terms though. Anyways, back on topic: My mother always said if you have nothing good to say don't say anything at all... I don't listen to my mon... so, let's just say, I'm no fan of DS1 so am no fan of DS2 by default. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
LoneWolf16 Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 Judging a game just by its predecessor isn't nice... I had thought that some of nature's journeymen had made men and not made them well, for they imitated humanity so abominably. - Book of Counted Sorrows 'Cause I won't know the man that kills me and I don't know these men I kill but we all wind up on the same side 'cause ain't none of us doin' god's will. - Everlast
