How do you post a picture from your directory onto the forums in the thumbnail format? i try to add image, but it keeps asking for an internet url. whenever i try to open the picture in explorer, it opens it in paint instead.

ok what if all my pictures are bigger than 1.5 MB? cuz i went to add an attachment and it didnt show up. i browsed through my pictures, picked it out then clicked add attachment. i posted and it wasnt there. any suggestions?

i tried that with a few of them. they stay the same size.

And they were BMP before? BMP-to-JPG conversion should lower the size by around 90%

 

(Note: not just go to Explorer and replace the *.bmp with *.jpg but use a photo-editing to do it...)

Better way. Get some online storage, most ISPs give you a free one. Put the files you wish linked there, then link from the forum post to that.

The Gimp is a free photoshop-like editor...

and ISP is Internet Service Provider...

If your ISP supplies you one free there should be links to it from their homepage.
