Diogo Ribeiro Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 Go here and start downlaoding the singleplayer demo of Rise of Legends.
Llyranor Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 The setting certainly sounds interesting, but I haven't really heard anything about the gameplay that would entice me to play it - from the previews/videos, it just kinda feels like just another RTS but with a nice setting. Setting alone won't cut it for me. Unless you find something radically different in the demo, then we'll see. (Approved by Fio, so feel free to use it)
baby arm Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 The Download.com and Worthplaying mirrors are extremely slow right now. I didn't try the registered Gamespot one. It might be better to wait until Strategy Informer or Gamer's Hell have it. They're usually the fastest, in my experience.
Musopticon? Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 (edited) Awesome. waht threed?! wehre?! Edited April 1, 2006 by Musopticon? kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. I had to fight against blood thirsty wolves and rabid penguins to get my food. Those who were too weak to survive were sent to Sweden. It has made me the man I am today. A man who craves furry hentai. So let us go and embrace the rustling smells of unseen worlds
Diogo Ribeiro Posted April 1, 2006 Author Posted April 1, 2006 Your link is messed up. Here it is. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Strange... Thanks for the correction, nonetheless. The Gamespot servers were pretty slow; I downloaded the demo off of ActionTrip.
Lyric Suite Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 Loved Rise of Nations. I shall try this at once...

Setting alone won't cut it for me. Unless you find something radically different in the demo, then we'll see. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Rise of Nations was as much like a real-time civilization as it was like an RTS. Definitely a more thoughtful game than your average click fest with a heavy lean on researching technologies. We now bring you live footage from the World Championship Staring Final.
Llyranor Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 Yeah, I played a bit of the original RoN. More thoughful than a standard RTS, but not really enough to impress. (Approved by Fio, so feel free to use it)
baby arm Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 I wasn't able to play it because of my crappy graphics card, but here's what Portico said about it: link And here's what some of the kids said about it: Link
