Sure, why not? It's the kind of straight-talking, tough-talking foreign policy agenda that goes down well with any domestic audience. It probably helped Bush get elected, to the extent that he was, the first time round.

This web page reminds me of parents who ask their kids' school to forbid peanut butter, even from other student's breakfast, to avoid an alergic reaction from their own kid.

 

It all sounds so megalomaniacal to me.
