kumquatq3 Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 (edited) Looks like the normal costume in grey-scale, but it's not. Not great, not bad either: http://www.superherohype.com/news/featuresnews.php?id=3892 Damn, over a year away. Side Note: Damn it, I really did break a toe Edited February 24, 2006 by kumquatq3
Atreides Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 That looks cool. I hope Carnage eventually makes an apperance. Hope your toe heals fast. Reminds me of the Mythbusters show where they tested whether wearing steel-capped boots are better than not wearing them. Spreading beauty with my katana.
Oerwinde Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 I don't like that its just the regular costume, only black. I think they either should go with the webbing over the entire thing, or no webbing at all. It looks kinda wierd with the boots and such. The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.
metadigital Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 It's the stealth commando spidey suit. OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT
Surreptishus Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 Spider-Man been caught in an oil slick!!
Oerwinde Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 So it seems like the reaction goes 3 ways: Hate it, love it, don't think its actually the black costume, just a black and white pic. The picture is nice... the costume is boring. Something more like Spidey's black costume would have been better. The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.
Surreptishus Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 Raimi may be messing with us. Would the real black costume just look like a giant baby-gro? Maybe his costume starts of like it does in the pic and then the symbiote takes over and changes it.
Karimi Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 I really hope venom makes an appearance in this one.
astr0creep Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 I think Spidey gets taken over by something very dark in S3, hence the B&W pic... http://entertainmentandbeyond.blogspot.com/
kumquatq3 Posted February 24, 2006 Author Posted February 24, 2006 (edited) It is NOT b&W. Sony sent out emails, not sure how I got signed up, and it was very clear it was not B&W. It was designed to look like a newspaper cover that was talking about spideys new costume. Edited February 24, 2006 by kumquatq3

To me the pic from the link looks like a teaser poster for the movie. I find it hard to believe that they would simply change the colour for the Venom suit. Something more fancy would make more sense, like a black slick that covers Peter's body, with CGI-added moving/swirling weblike whitish lines over it. Or something else but not a simple color change. Too cheap, easy and amateurish. So, I speculated. Edited February 24, 2006 by astr0creep http://entertainmentandbeyond.blogspot.com/
Surreptishus Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 You speculated wrong: http://spiderman.sonypictures.com/
kumquatq3 Posted February 24, 2006 Author Posted February 24, 2006 How are we suppose to know about that email from the link you posted? You're just supposed to know, thats how ::runs off crying::
astr0creep Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 You speculated wrong: http://spiderman.sonypictures.com/ <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I stand *somewhat* corrected. Could still be a clever way to introduce a teaser poster or to announce the coming darkness of Venom. Whatever the true nature of the pic, we are talking about S3 a year before release so it is doing its job. Hype building. http://entertainmentandbeyond.blogspot.com/

Laozi Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 I think it stinks, and by god they shouldn't be introducing Venom in the near future. I'm pretty excited about the Sandman, he was one of my favorite villian as a kid. People laugh when I say that I think a jellyfish is one of the most beautiful things in the world. What they don't understand is, I mean a jellyfish with long, blond hair.
LadyCrimson Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 I like the color, but I have doubts as to whether or not it's anything but a marketing gimmick...or a one-scene only type of deal. “Things are as they are. Looking out into the universe at night, we make no comparisons between right and wrong stars, nor between well and badly arranged constellations.” – Alan Watts
Oerwinde Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 well if you look at the big close-up pic, its pretty clear the whole thing was photoshopped. So hopefully its just a really polished piece of concept art. The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.
Surreptishus Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 The saturation is just really low, there is colour but only just. The site has a section speculating on who the potential baddies are due to all the fan gossip.
Laozi Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 I thought it was already know that Thomas Haden Church was going to be the Sandman and James Franco returnes to play the Hobgoblin People laugh when I say that I think a jellyfish is one of the most beautiful things in the world. What they don't understand is, I mean a jellyfish with long, blond hair.
Surreptishus Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 I thought it was already know that Thomas Haden Church was going to be the Sandman and James Franco returnes to play the Hobgoblin <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think sandman is a "for sure" evreything else? I think its unconfirmed.
Laozi Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 My friend Sherman keeps telling me the Lizard is for sure in the film People laugh when I say that I think a jellyfish is one of the most beautiful things in the world. What they don't understand is, I mean a jellyfish with long, blond hair.
Surreptishus Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 Well we see an armless doc connors in Spidey 2 but bad guys turning into big animals? Its kinda corny. Unfornuately thats the problem with most of Spidey's nemeses - Mysterio, Vultureman, The scorpion, Electro, The Shocker, Rhino.
