February 10, 200619 yr Bioshock will be good, but i am still looking forward to a new Freedom Force game. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'd rather see them using their time to make a better franchise instead.. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I really like FF games. Lots of playable heroes, some deep npc personalities, nice stories and El Diablo. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I just got Freedom Force in the mail today.. And tried it some, looks like it will be a pretty fun title. Lancer
February 10, 200619 yr It's fun, but pretty linear and while you can make your own people, they have no real growth like the main characters so they can be kinda dull.
February 10, 200619 yr The early 60's? That's like Beach Boys and stuff. Why not the late 60's with hippies, druggies and Woodstock? It sounds interesting none of the less though. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Brian Wilson is a genius. A mad genius. Not an evil genius, though. I think. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The Beach Boys rule. On topic this Bioshock sounds like a good game, given the hype. February 10, 200619 yr It's fun, but pretty linear Yeah.. I figured that much since there are around 20 missions and you need to beat one to get to the next..And in each mission you can only explore a small section of Patriot city (and other areas) rather than have at your disposal the option to explore the entire world without no bounds. and while you can make your own people, they have no real growth like the main characters so they can be kinda dull. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That is the problem with characters without a pre-generated history! But to be fair to Freedom Force, even the Fallouts have this problem. At least in Freedom Force, your fellow NPCs are developed. Edited February 10, 200619 yr by Lancer Lancer
February 10, 200619 yr Exactly. They are very linear. But i think FF series are much better than Silent Stom series.
February 10, 200619 yr Exactly. They are very linear. But i think FF series are much better than Silent Stom series. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 99.9% of all JRPGs are linear. Lancer
February 10, 200619 yr I mean Freedom Force <{POST_SNAPBACK}> As long as its fun and true to the superhero genre, it won't be a show-stopper just because it is linear. The fact that your fellow supeheroes are developed might make the lack of non-linearity a little more palatable. Edited February 10, 200619 yr by Lancer Lancer
February 10, 200619 yr I just bought Fredom Force & The Third Reich ( OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT
February 10, 200619 yr I liked it better than the first one. Just, don't expect a real crpg experience. It is a squad based, mission based strategy game with rpg elements. It has a great story and great heroes. Enjoy it.
February 10, 200619 yr Sounds pretty kew-el. (I also just picked up Barbarian Invasion, so I may not be playing it straight away ... " ) OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT
February 10, 200619 yr I didn't want to buy it because I wanted my Roman Empire to last forever ... ... but then the extra play options (night battles!), the best combat of a Civ-like game and the chance to play one of two halves of the remainder of the Roman Empire! :D *Installing* OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT
February 10, 200619 yr I clicked but it didn't work! I suppose I could always take a "wrong" turn to my local computer store on the way home from work today. Though I am playing the conquer game with Hearts of Iron at the moment. EDIT: AND YOU DOUBLE POSTED IT YOU MONSTER!! EDIT: I swore I saw 2 earlier. Edited February 10, 200619 yr by alanschu

February 10, 200619 yr Nah, it still just insists on showing me a picture. Clicking on it has yet to have me playing the game.
