funcroc
http://www.totalvideogames.com/articles/Ob..._770_0_0_20.htm Firstly can you give us a little about the makeup of Obsidian; how many people work here, do you have a number of teams assigned to specific formats/games and is there much interchanging between teams? There are approximately eighty people working at Obsidian at this time. Our general strategy is to have one team in full production which consists of 40-50 people - this is currently for Neverwinter Nights 2. At the same time we have a secondary team in pre-production and a number of support positions. The teams interact in various ways but not in any structured fashion. And we encourage everybody to work together, so oftentimes one of the projects will need to borrow from the other project. At some point in the future we plan to have two and a half teams instead of one and half like we do now.
Gorth
There are a lot of game ideas that pass through the corridors of Obsidian. I think my two personal favorites are a worthwhile X-com successor or a game similar to System Shock 2. There are other ideas too, but I couldn't possibly give them all away. Go Obsidian! Go!
